| Our Story
In March 1982, a leadership conference revealed the disheartening reality that there was a highly disproportionate number of African-American leaders among Christian organizations within the country. This burden gave way to the inception of the National Conference for Pioneering Black America (N.C.P.B.A.) which held its first meeting in Warrenton, Missouri in April of 1984. Thirty leaders from across the United States were in attendance. Throughout the years, the organization has been used as a catalyst to help establish, assist and encourage churches, organizations, and individuals who have committed themselves to the work of the Lord. As our network grew and our outreach expanded we sought a name that likewise reflected our maturation. In 1994 we became International Christian Ministries. Now after twenty-five years, our meth- ods have adopted to our changing world, but our message remains the same.
